RIBBONS AND STITCH

Amazing things happen in the horse world and things get more amazing as time goes by.  After years of owning Ribbons and MDHorsepeople Yahoo Group, I have come to realize that the horse world is very small.  It reminds me of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. Eventually I discover someone knows someone who knows someone who you know.

Today I was amazed even more.  A friend of mine had recently purchased her very first horse and moved her horse to where I board.  She decided to make a web page dedicated to her new equine friend, Stitch.  I signed her guestbook making a comment that her horse and mine look so much alike that they could be brother and sister.  While looking around I decided to check out the pedigree.  I recognized a name and looked up my horse's pedigree and I realized that they are indeed related.  Their relative in common was named Three Bars 1940.  Apparently Three Bars was very, very busy.

Here is the picture where I noticed how much they look alike....the color, the tails, their stance and right down to the swat above their eyes and on their nose.
